The Path to Purpose

I used to think that purpose was something reserved for a select few—people who already had all the answers. The ones who seemed to know exactly what they wanted to do from a young age, or at the very least, appeared to have their lives mostly in order.

They won medals and awards, moved up quickly in whatever institutional arenas they were in, and never seemed to get sidetracked.

They definitely didn’t drop out of university.

They didn’t get addicted to substances.

They didn’t spend over 40+ years unsure of what they were doing with their lives.

I used to believe purpose was a destination—somewhere you eventually arrived, and once you got there, everything would magically make sense. You’d be living your purpose, as they say.

But now I’m realizing something different. Purpose isn’t a destination. It’s not a noun. It’s a path. A path you choose, consciously.

And the beautiful thing is—you don’t even have to know what your purpose is to start walking it. You just have to know that you’re worthy of having one.

We often get tripped up thinking we need clarity before we begin, but the truth is—you can start from a place of wonder. Once you muster even the smallest amount of self-belief, that’s enough. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to believe that your purpose exists—and get curious.

The universe responds to that. It begins to rearrange itself in support of you. And if you stay aligned, you’ll start to notice the beauty unfolding.

This process takes time. It requires patience and consistency in your self-belief. And it requires faith—faith in a benevolent universe guiding you, even when you can’t see what’s around the corner.

I think purpose is fluid. It shifts, evolves, expresses itself in many different ways over time. It moves with the currents of your life—never static, always alive.

Maybe purpose is really about surrender. Surrendering to the idea that you are here for a divine experience. And if you can remember that—if you can do the healing, tend to the wounds that keep you disconnected from that truth—Then maybe, just maybe, you’ll come to realize:

Purpose is your birthright.

It’s not a straight line. It’s not a finish line. It's a path. It flows through you; you dance with it —when you’re aligned with the essence of who you truly are: A being of pure light. A being of pure love.
