Getting to the Root

The surface fixes will eventually wreak havoc on the landscape, both inner and outer. The only way to get rid of quack grass is to get down on your hands and knees and dig through the soil surrounding it. Gently pulling as you feel each little tendril give way to your INTENTION. There is a tenderness with picking weeds because if you are too forceful you will rip the weed in half and lose the root that had been your goal all along.
This is an analogy for our healing journey. Our wounds, like the tender weeds of our soul, require a gentle hand among other things. Patience, humility, and deep trust in something we cannot quite yet see, be it a weed free garden, or a future filled with purpose and joy. Both take time, patience, and daily discipline to the task at hand.
Kundalini yoga allows you to go deep into the soil of your own subconscious. To sit with yourself - all of yourself. She will help you to gently weed the wounds from your soul so that you can bloom into the greatest potential you have hidden away within you.
The only thing holding you back from achieving or feeling what you want is a belief held in your subconscious that continues to shape your life unbeknownst to you. Awakening is to become aware of what these beliefs are and understanding that you don't have to believe them anymore.
These beliefs are interwoven into our energy system. An imprint held from a moment in time when we were either too young, too unaware, to unequipped with to integrate or process the stimuli coming into our nervous systems.
This can be a big traumatic event or a small sideways glance from someone who loves you. The energy behind the action and how it is interpreted sews the seed. When I say energy, I mean the intention. And this is where things can get rather tricky, because sometimes the energy is unconsciously delivered from one to another. Sometimes it is an energetic imprint that makes its way through family lines or our own past lives.
Regardless of where it comes from, it is yours now, and you must feel it too heal it. If you remain unconscious to the wound you will pass it down, inflict it on others or it will complicate your own life and cause unending misfortune.
Now is the time to accept all parts of who we are. To feel, to heal and to accept ourselves in all our messiness. In all our imperfect humanness. To fill our own vessels with so much love and understanding for ourselves that what comes pouring out of us is love and understanding for others because that is all we have to give.
There are no perfect weed free gardens, and there is no perfection in the human experience, but there can be beautiful growth, connection, and joy.
